it's not supported?
Not officially. But enough people tried it to make it run nicely.

I had made a point that it seemed like they changed the promo pics on the website page last year with album covers from albums released that year
is it normal for Apple to go and do that?
change promo pics of products mid/end cycle?
seemed odd

so you can connect the ipad 2 to your TV and you can use an iPod touch or iPhone as the controller, no cable required :) I believe there are one or 2 games that use the iPhone as a controller on the iPad. I believe Chopper 2 is one of them.

One thing I'd like to see is a stylus that can be used with this & an iPad. Before I get flamed, hear me out. It wouldn't be just stylus only. It'll work just the way it is with your fingers, but also use a stylus for fine work like a painting/drawing program. Some people have bulky fingers that are too imprecise for drawing.
I agree, but I don't think the current screens in iPhones or iPads can register something as small as a real stylus point.
Maybe not, but all third-party styluses for iPhones and iPads so far have been the size of a pencil eraser (or a sausage literally), and I can't imagine that's what they started with.
Sooner or later, I expect Apple to put some amount of pressure-sensitivity into future iPads or iPhones, one way or another, though, and their utility as drawing devices will increase dramatically.

I can't wait! My G5 iMac has officially died and gone to that big computer desk in the sky. It served me well for 5 years, but it's over. Darn thang won't even turn on anymore. I hear the apple start up chime, but the screen stays black and then the iMac just shuts off. But even if I could fix it, it's so old it can't run the latest OSX or even play HD movies. Yup...it's time to buy a new iMac.
I'm hoping that the next update sees i7s across the line...even the 21.5" models. I expect thunderbolt too since the MacBook pros got it. Other things on my wish list would be for them to include that rumored flash start up drive as standard....but I'm not holding my breath. It would be great if the 21.5" model got the same ability as the 27" to be used as an external monitor. That way in 5 years or more when it becomes unable to run the latest software, you can still use it as a second monitor. :-)
I like the 27" features, it's just a tad too big. Actually the rumor about Apple adding a 24" size back to the iMac lineup would be PERFECT. But again...not gonna count on it.

If you don't mind the yellow, that's a really good deal if you need a holdover case. Just keep in mind that later on this week Incipio will be releasing their feather case for 19.99, with the silicylic coming out sometime next week for five bucks more. Just a thought.

i wonder if it will lose its chin?! ^^^^^^ yes...precisely
If so, a 23" chinless iMac might find it's way to my family.

So now the question is do I still need to transcode to pro res my avchd footage :confused:
Yeah, I haven't been able to determine whether this will be the case, or if FCPX will edit AVCHD natively.

I think that these two quotes from Tim Cook during the last Apple quarterly call, put the nail in the coffin:
"We've got the largest app store ..."
"... iPhone's integrated approach is materially better than Android's fragmented approach, where you have multiple OSs on multiple devices with different screen resolutions and multiple app stores with different ... "
Since Apple itself uses the word generically, I don't see how anyone can argue that it's not.

Apparently "virtually every" doesn't mean what you think it means.
Those who don't see the light bleed are simply in denial. It is a known problem affecting this version of the iPad. If you took a few minutes to read the iPad forum, you'd know that.

Grim but accurate.
Grim??
Don't they (http://www.chaletdescollines.com/#4) have a turn-down service?
Unless you chaps mean Rwanda, which is much less amusing.

Questions:
Is "developer preview 2" the same upgrade that shows up with Software Update (using the developer preview 1)?
That was only about 2mb in size -- downloaded and installed in a matter of a few minutes.
After installation, it shows up as "build 11A390".
Is this the actual "dp2", or does the whole thing have to be downloaded and re-installed?
